Jill Battson, Poet Laureate of Cobourg, has three collections of poems published with a new one, The Ecstatic Torture of Gratitude, coming out this fall. She is juggling a myriad of projects including a play, a CD and a suite of odes to percussive instruments. Dark Star Requiem, for which she wrote the libretto, opened the Luminato Arts Festival in June 2010.

Christine McNair’s work has been published in CV2, Prairie Fire, ditchpoetry.com, Arc, Descant, and sundry other places. She was shortlisted for the 2010 Robert Kroetsch award for Innovative Poetry and her first book is forthcoming from BookThug in 2012. She works as a book doctor in Ottawa.

Ottawa writer rob mclennan is the author of more than twenty trade books of poetry, fiction and non-fiction, including Glengarry (Talonbooks, 2011), kate street (Moira, 2011) and 52 flowers (or, a perth edge) (Obvious Epiphanies, 2010), and a second novel, missing persons (2009).
